Huntington’s chorea and Parkinson’s Disease are classified as movement disorders. If you can’t move the way you want, you probably have a movement disorder. This could mean that your body moves when or in a way you DON’T want it to, or that it doesn’t move when you DO want it to. There are four strategies with movement disorders: the first is to discontinue medications that may be causing it, if possible. The second is to treat the underlying medical condition, if one exists. The third is to treat the abnormal movement itself. And the last resort is to relieve any discomfort or pain it causes. Watch more video about pediatric movement disorders or share your story or experience on video with icyou.
