Items used in intelligence tests are designed to eliminate all possibility of there being more than one correct answer. Unfortunately, the creative abilities of the examinees often defeat the structure of intelligence test problems. This test requires the odd shape to be chosen from the sequence. Which shape would you choose?

The correct answer is 2. However, intelligent reasons can be found for leaving 2 in and excluding 5 or 6.
